Kuscu & Reynaud Architecture and Design Studio

Kuşcu & Reynaud is an architecture-based creative platform, spanning France and Turkey, created by Beste Kuşcu and Augustin Reynaud in 2013.

We believe in the power of a multidisciplinary approach and in the value of a fundamental understanding of urban and rural territories. Each project invites us to develop a particular method in order to construct a well-founded, creative proposal.

Resilience and sustainability are the core notions of our work, whatever the scale; from furniture to architectural design. Every project is approached holistically, with a consideration for the planet as the primary concern.

Beste Kuşcu studied interior design in İstanbul and graduated ranking first. She then moved to Paris to study architecture at the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture. Her diploma project was selected as one of the 10 best projects of the year. During her studies she was as assistant teacher at the Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture. She went on to follow several courses on permaculture and design, and has diverse experiences in interior design, lighting design and architecture.

She worked both in Paris and İstanbul before co-founding Kuşcu & Reynaud.

Augustin Reynaud studied at the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture, after starting his master degree at Seika University in Kyoto, Japan. He graduated DESA HMONP (licensed architect). During his studies he was an assistant teacher at both Seika University and the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture.

He ran an architecture studio at Bilgi University in İstanbul. He worked in France, Poland and Brazil before co-founding Kuşcu & Reynaud.
